Greetings Everyone!!

 

My name is Susan, welcome to my profile.  I grew up in a military family and have lived on both costs of the United States and have been in all 48 continental states.  I am not married but am an animal lover and have a dog and cats.

I did my undergraduate work in Minneapolis MN and received my BA in Christian Education.  After graduating I worked for two different churches as a Children's Pastor.  I truly enjoyed this and was able to build ministries and programs from the ground up.  I am still a licensed pastor.

In May of 2000 I moved to Springfield to attend graduate school and received my MA in Counseling in December of 2002.  I really enjoyed the educational process though working full time while taking a full time course load made it a challenge to say the least.

Since receiving my master's degree I have worked a couple of different positions as a case manager.  These jobs were invaluable in giving me both a broad range of hands on experience and practical application of my schooling.  In 2007 I received my full counseling license with the State of MO and went into private practice launching my own business.  Despite the current economy I have successfully built my practice from the ground up and it is starting to flourish.  I love working with clients and the flexibility of being my own boss.

 

On my time off I love to sing and am in my church choir.  I also have loved teaching various Sunday school classes over the years.
